A new food truck, 11:1 Catering, has recently made its mark here in Madison and has become the talk of the town. Founded and run by Natasha Bass, it strives to provide fast service and high-quality home-cooked meals.
Founder, Natasha Bass, is the wife of Keith Bass and the mother of Alona Bass, both of which were heavily involved in the opening of the business. She always cooked for her family and shared meals with friends who have always praised her for her cooking. At one point, she was asked, "hey, why don't you do this? You could sell food." Mrs. Bass expressed her struggle with self-doubt, explaining that it was one of the biggest obstacles she had to overcome.
She prayed nonstop for guidance until God finally answered by reminding her of Hebrews 11:1, which says, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." She explains that God even led her to the person she was to buy her food truck from and that everything just fell into place after that.
Her truck was originally located in the Jasper-White Springs area. However, some friends urged her to relocate to Madison, where she lives. She eventually decided to give it a try and parked her food truck in the parking lot where the ice machine is located, across from Madison County Community Bank. She can now be found there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is reachable on her phone at (850) 253-5953.
Bass' food truck serves home-cooked meals with options such as slow-smoked pulled pork or chicken, green beans, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding, peach cobbler, and chocolate chip pie. "Her food is mouth-watering and delicious with large portions," said Mickey Starling, her neighbor and customer.
