The Miss Madison County and Baby to Junior Miss Madison County pageants were held this past Saturday, March 12, at the Van H. Priest Auditorium.
The Baby to Tiny Miss Madison County pageant kicked off at 10 a.m. and the Little to Junior Miss Madison County pageant kicked off at 1 p.m. Children, ages birth to 12 years old, took the stage and competed for the crowns in their respective divisions during these two pageants.
A’deija Choice was crowned Baby Miss Madison County, for ages birth to 11 months of age. Choice also won the prettiest smile, best attire, photogenic and outfit of choice awards.
Calani Bell was crowned the new Infant Miss Madison County for ages 12 to 23 months old. Averie Brown received 1st runner-up, along with prettiest smile, best stage presence, photogenic and outfit of choice. Chloe Persons was given the award of 2nd runner-up. Braxtyn Tillman was named 3rd runner-up, along with being named the best attire winner. Jhournei Reaves was named 4th runner-up and prettiest hair. Freida Miller and Natalia Mendez were named the Infant Miss Princesses.
Dewey Greene was crowned Infant Mr. Madison County for young boys between the ages of 12-23 months. With his crown, Greene also won best hair, best stage presence, best smile, best attire, photogenic and outfit of choice.
Layelle Arnold was crowned the new 2022 Tiny Miss Madison County for girls ages two to three years of age. Along with her title, Arnold also won the special awards of best stage presence, prettiest smile, best attire and outfit of choice. Her court included: Nora Mae Myers, 1st runner-up; Evelyn Fox, 2nd runner-up, prettiest hair and photogenic; Camryn Gilbert, 3rd runner-up and Deanna Barrs, 4th runner-up.
Shayne Deming was named the four to six year-old Little Miss Madison County. Deming also received the special award of photogenic. Her court included: Royal Gallon, 1st runner-up; Presley Nault, 2nd runner-up, best attire and outfit of choice; Alyssa McGuire, 3rd runner-up and prettiest smile and Rileigh Pickles, 4th runner-up. The Little Miss Madison County Princesses were: Lorelei Cooper, Gemma Foust, Abby Ortega, Emma Mobley, Megan Mugge, KaLeah McElroy, Milan Moore and Cassie Letourneau. Moore was also awarded prettiest hair and McElroy was awarded best stage presence.
Chloe Dickinson was crowned Young Miss Madison County for her age division of seven to nine year-olds. Along with the title, Dickinson also won prettiest smile, prettiest hair, best attire, best stage presence, photogenic and outfit of choice. Her court included: Maisie Cotrell, 1st runner-up; Cassidy Ballenger, 2nd runner-up; Ta’tianna Thornton, 3rd runner-up; Keely Spivey, 4th runner-up; Kenley Daniels, Young Miss Princess; Bella Ortega, Young Miss Princess and Lorelei Hampton, Young Miss Princess.
Evie Smith was crowned Junior Miss Madison County, which consists of girls between the ages of 10 to 12 years old. Her court included: Alexa Coe, 1st runner up; Jocelyn Richie, 2nd runner-up and Adyson Land, 3rd runner-up. Special awards were presented to: Evie Smith, prettiest smile, best attire, best stage presence and photogenic and Alexa Coe, prettiest hair and outfit of choice.
Saturday evening, at 5 p.m., the Miss, Teen Miss and Ms. Madison County Pageant got underway. The crowd enjoyed watching an opening number dance to the song, "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody" and the competitions of talent, sportswear, casual wear and evening gown.
Leah Singletary was crowned the new 2022 Teen Miss Madison County. Chosen as her court were: Belinda Albritton, 1st runner-up; Paige McCool, 2nd runner-up and Tessa Williamson, 3rd runner-up. The special awards were awarded to: Leah Singletary, prettiest smile, prettiest hair, best attire and Miss Congeniality; Paige McCool, best stage presence and photogenic and Tessa Williamson, audience choice award ($372).
Grace Galbraith was crowned the new 2022 Miss Madison County. Chosen as her court were: Jessica Hasty, 1st runner-up; Bailey Hackle, 2nd runner-up; Devyn LeBlanc, 3rd runner-up and Jasmine Odom, 4th runner-up. Special awards were presented to: Grace Galbraith, prettiest smile, prettiest hair, best interview, Miss Congeniality, audience choice award ($219) and a $500 scholarship to NFC; Jessica Hasty, best attire, best stage presence and photogenic; and Bailey Hackle, talent.
Beverly Hernandez was crowned Ms. Madison County. Along with her title, Hernandez was also awarded with prettiest smile, best attire and best stage presence. Amanda Ballenger was named 1st runner-up and received special awards for prettiest hair, photogenic and audience choice award ($127).
