The Madison County Recreation Association, Inc. Board of Directors invites you to join them in celebrating their 20th of May 2022 Jubilee Celebration event. Similar to Down Home Days, this event is set to reflect on the traditions and rich history of the Madison community. Kicking off the 20th of May celebration event was a beauty pageant that was held on Saturday, May 14, at 5 p.m., at the Madison County Recreation Center. This week, the Alpha Kapp Aalpha Sorority will host a memorial on Friday, May 20, at noon, taking place at Four Freedoms Park, in Madison.
Also, on Friday, May 20, the Elegant Heritage Banquet, Silent Auction and Fashion Show will take place at the Wardlaw-Smith-Goza Mansion, located at 103 N Washington St., in Madison. The event begins at 6 p.m., and Daunte Culpepper is the guest speaker. Culpepper is a former professional quarterback who played in the National Football League for 11 seasons. The cost to attend this event is $100 per ticket.
On Saturday, May 21, the fun will be kicked off by a parade taking place at 10:30 a.m., traveling from Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, located at 221 SW Martin Luther King Dr., in Madison, to the Madison County Recreation Center and the Old Suwannee River Junior College campus, which will also be lined with various vendors and fun activities.
