After 24 years in the Gospel Music arena, The Reflectsons are still perpetuating a rich tradition in the most modern Progressive Southern Gospel Music of our time. From their obscure beginning, this group has become known as one of the leading Gospel ministries today. While their beginning was small and simple, each year has brought about new developments and opportunities that have grown into what this group is best known for today. Some of the things that have developed over the years is the gift of songwriting. Each member of the group contributes new songs regularly to the performance repertoire, as well as the recording releases. Combined, this group has produced, recorded and performed approximately 50 of their original compositions. Each of these compositions presents an exciting, entertaining and concise Gospel message. Many of their songs have been recorded and performed by many other Gospel groups.
From the early years of their ministry, The Reflectsons have enjoyed invitations to perform with many of the top names in Gospel Music. Reviews have stated that this group’s performance is worthy to be presented along with any of today’s artists. While the motive of all activity is ministry, audiences of all ages relate well to their performance and enjoy a balance of music, ministry, vocal harmonies, testimonies, humor and a presentation that makes for a good Christian experience. Many of their fans enjoy reading about them each month in The Gospel Post newspaper.
Today, The Reflectsons is comprised of original founder and member, Dale Thigpen, who is manager, emcee, and lead vocalist; Rick Radford, who serves as a baritone vocalist; Pam Renew, serves as the alto vocalist; Bruce Renew serves as sound technician, musician and bus driver. Together these four present a three-part harmony along with lively accompaniment.
