Are you a resident of Greenville or surrounding communities and are in need of winter supplies Well you are in luck! Healthy Start Coalition, located at 1336 SW Grand St., in Greenville, will be giving away free winter clothing to those in need.
Please join Healthy Families Seven Rivers for their 3rd Annual Winter Clothing Giveaway on Friday, Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. As the weather changes, the need for warmer clothing increases for the most vulnerable populations in our communities. To meet this reoccurring need, we need your help. We are asking community organizations, such as our local churches to help us gather warm winter clothing. Important items needed include infant, toddler and children's coats, sweaters, long sleeve shirts, jeans, pants, scarves, beanie caps, boots and other closed-toed shoes. Other items needed are women’s and men's coats, sweaters, long sleeve shirts, jeans, pants, beanie caps, boots and other closed toed shoes.
We are working closely with other agencies to be present during the event to provide pertinent social service and important health information to support families around the region.
If you would like to contribute by donating clothes described above, you can go to the Healthy Start Coalition of Madison, Inc. located at 1336 SW Grand St., in Greenville. You may also donate at the Jefferson County and Taylor County offices. If you cannot arrange to go to an office, you may call Rebecca Severin at (850) 948-2741 to arrange for donation pick-up.
Donations will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 11. We are asking that you share this information with your co-workers, family and congregation to help Healthy Start collect this valuable clothing.
