Every Monday, a burgundy food truck rolls into town and sits on the corner of Pinckney and Shelby Street by Owens Propane. It's called 5 Star Grub and the name couldn't be more accurate. Stephen Todd and Morgan Leutner are the masterminds behind this project and, rest assured, you will not be disappointed with their crafty menu options. Customers are offered a wide range of choices, but some of the hottest items include their barbecue chicken sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, mushroom swiss burgers, smoked phillies, smoked wings, chili cheese dogs, chili cheese fries and, everybody's favorite, fried pickles! If you want to mix things up, you can add sauteed mushrooms or onions to any sandwich. However, Todd asserts that their specialty barbecue sauces are where it's at. Flavors include honey bacon, sweet fire, raspberry, pineapple, blondie (a mustard-based sauce) and tai chili. “We always wanted a food truck or restaurant,” said co-owner, Morgan Leutner. Now, thanks to a little hard work and dedication, the couple's dream is becoming a reality. Make sure you check out 5 Star Grub at the corner of Pinckney and Shelby every Monday, serving lunch and dinner.
