The 55 Plus Club returns on Wednesday, September 9 for a new season of programs. The first program of the season will be the Madison County Sheriff’s Office conducting a K-9 demonstration at the 55 Plus Club. Sheriff Ben Stewart will be in attendance. Plan on coming out and learning about the K-9 team. The 55 Plus Club is open to all Madison County residents who are 55 years old and older. All faiths and races are welcome, and no reservations are necessary. There are no fees of any kind. Just come and enjoy a good lunch, fellowship and an interesting program. The Lee United Methodist Church is the host for the September program. Lunch will be served at 12 p.m., with the program following. The 55 Plus Club meets the second Wednesday every month, from September through May at the United Methodist Center located on Highway 145 about five miles north of Madison.
