87 building permits issued in March

The Madison County Building Department issued 87 permits and collected $34,732.32 in fees in March. There were three new residential constructions with $2,897.92 collected in fees. There was no new commercial construction. Renovation/remodel permits were issued six times and collected the most in fees in March with $22,667.07 collected. Electrical permits were the most issued in March with 24 permits issued and $2,234.68 collected in fees. Mechanical permits were issued 14 times with $1,583.52 collected in fees. Buildings permits were issued three times and $237 was collected in fees. Roofing permits were issued 16 times with $1,274.35 collected in fees. Other permits such as demolition and pools were issued five times with $388.50 collected in fees. Plumbing permits were issued five times with $534 collected in fees. There was one residential addition permit issued with $386.25 collected in fees. There were no commercial additions for March. There were two used mobile home permits issued with $110 collected in fees. There were seven mobile home setup permits issued with $2,769.03 collected in fees. One fire safety permit was issued with $35 collected in fees.
