The Nu Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will be sponsoring a scholarship pageant on Saturday, Apr. 7, at the Madison County Central School. This year, six young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Fashionetta. Deanna Bell, Cierra Brown, Victoria Dawkins, Allysia Manor, Zakaria Scott and Jaidyn Wesley will compete through a series of dance routines, speeches, modeling, and other areas, with the hope of winning the crown and other prizes.

These young women have already been participating in several community service projects around Madison County. Last November, they helped feed 11 local families through the Thanksgiving Basket Initiative. They also hosted a Holiday Social for Madison County EMS, Fire, Police and Sheriff's Deparments. Most recently, they participated in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service activities.
For over 30 years, the Nu Omega Omega Chapter has been involved in the lives of many young people in Madison. The sorority has participated in community service activities aimed at education, families, health, and more. Through their commitment, they have awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and community initiatives.
Tickets for the Miss Fashionetta Pageant will go on sale in March. The pageant will take place on Saturday, Apr 7, at 5 p.m., at the Madison County Central School. Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor or wishing more information can contact the sorority at nuomegaomega@yahoo.com.
