If your one true desire is to watch a well-performed and uniform pet show, you're in for a treat, and I’m not talking about a dog treat. The Olate Dogs and trainers, Richard and Nicholas Olate, are coming to North Florida Community College's (NFCC) Van H. Priest Auditorium, in Madison, on Thursday, March 1, with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
Led by Richard Olate and his son, Nicholas Olate, the fast-paced dogs are a high-energy theatrical act filled with doggie friendly and amazing pet tricks. Most of Richard's dogs are rescues from shelters. The Olate Dogs have performed in the Big Apple Circus and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. The dogs are more commonly known for their first-place finish on the NBC television show, America's Got Talent.
The Olate Dogs features four different five-minute acts that include numerous tricks such as dogs jumping rope, going down slides, and riding scooters. Richard Olate is a third-generation circus performer who grew up in Chile. In 2012, the Olates stopped in Orlando after hearing about the auditions for season seven of America's Got Talent, not knowing they would become the top performers of the show later on in the season of 2016.
Tickets are still available for this event. You don't want to miss out on this amazing show. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for NFCC students and anyone age 17 and under. For tickets, you may call NFCC at (850) 973-1600 or visit them online at nfcc.edu. The Van H. Priest Auditorium is located at NW Hamilton Ave., in Madison, just behind the NFCC campus.
