Annie Laura Bass Thomas, age 74, died Monday, February 23, at the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, Fl. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 26, in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home, Madison, with interment to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Madison. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25 from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. She was born in Madison County, Fl., and was a lifelong resident. She was a hairdresser for several years working from her home. She was a dispatcher for the Big Bend Transit in Madison for many years. She also farmed for many years. She was a member of Midway Church of God where she taught Sunday school. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Bass Roland (John) of Portland, Texas; sons: Gordie Bass (Patricia), of Madison; Billy Thomas, of Macclenny, Fl.; Danny Thomas, of North Carolina; and Ray Thomas of Thomasville, Ga.; three brothers: Turner Phillips (Mozella), Roy Phillips (Bertha Jean) and James Phillips (Margie), all of Lee; seven grandchildren: Christy Blanton (Jay), of Madison; Lance Bass, of Valdosta, Ga.; Joshua Jordan, of Portland, Texas; Loren Grisom (Josh), Elin Roland, Ann Marie Roland, and Kristine Roland, all of Auburn, Ga.; and one great-grandson: Noah Blanton, of Madison.
