Annie Ree Roberts Williams, 80, of Madison, exchanged time for eternity as she gained the wings of a dove and flew away to be at rest on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021.
Life Celebration Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Damascus M.B. Church, 185 SW Smith Street, in Madison. Public viewing and visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Tillman of Madison, ~A Hall-Moore Provider~ (850) 973-6677, 379 W. Base Street, in Madison. Annie was born to Aubrey Roberts and Lucinda Robinson Roberts in Camp Hill (Tallapossa County), Ala. She relocated to Madison County more than 60 years ago, where she met and married Joe Chandler Williams, and they raised their sons, Willie C. and James O. in a Christian home.
Annie Ree was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, as well as cooking for them, knitting and sewing. In her later years, she looked forward to watching "Perry Mason," "Gunsmoke" and "In the Heat of the Night" television series.
Cherishing her loving memories are her son, James O. "Shorty Cat" Williams of Madison; daughter-in-law, Patricia Williams, of Madison; special niece, Louise Ray of Opalaka, Ala.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; special friends: Ella Mae Brown and Essie Mae Jones, both of Madison.
