Area flooding brings changes

Rick Patrick  rick@greenepublishing.com Because of the higher rainfall amounts experienced over the past weeks, and the resulting higher water levels in area rivers, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) has established idle speeds and no wake zones for boaters. According to a press release from the FWC, officers will be monitoring these zones and will adjust signage as the river levels change. Boaters are reminded that higher water levels can create extra navigational dangers
