Pinetta Elementary School (PES) recently received a generous boost to their plan to provide new playground equipment to the students of the school. Walt's Live Oak Ford, from Live Oak, Fla. recently presented a check to PES in the amount of $4,500. This money came through the Ford Motor Company's “Drive 4 UR School” event. Through the event, the Ford Motor Company makes a donation for every test drive potential customers take. Traditionally, Walt's Live Oak Ford has held the test drives in Madison during Down Home Days. This past year, when the Down Home Days celebration was cancelled, a new plan needed to be found. According to Jennifer Johnson, Chief Financial Officer with Walt's Live Oak Ford, a new pilot program was chosen. This new program would allow potential customers to take a “virtual test drive.”
Tuesday, Dec. 29, was chosen as the date for the virtual test drive. Customers were asked to pre-register and then choose which vehicle they would like to “virtually” test drive. Customers had a choice of a Mach-E, a Bronco or an F-250 pick-up. For each virtual test drive a donation was made to the school.
