ASK is a local group that helps children with disabilities participate in activities throughout the year. It also helps pay for the children to attend their very own summer camp at Cherry Lake. Once a month, the group meets at the camp in Cherry Lake. While parents are required to be present, their interaction is minimal and each child is assigned their own counselor.
ASK is holding an event at Four Freedoms Park in Madison on Friday, Mar. 31 from 5-7 p.m. The purpose of the event is to raise money to offset the cost associated with camp attendance, which is $90 per child and $90 for each parent. They are looking for vendors to participate and make the event a success. Businesses, churches, youth groups, sports teams, and other organizations are able to rent booths for $25. Vendors will have the unique opportunity to promote their business, sell products, raffle tickets, sell baked goods or drinks, paint faces, etc...
In addition to the upcoming event, ASK is currently selling shirts to raise money to help send children to the overnight summer camps. Adult sizes are $20 and children's sizes are $10. Interested parties or vendors should contact Leslie McCloud at (850) 363-6726.
