Aucilla alum and Madison native receives Scholar Athlete Honors

Ashlyn Rogers, a 2019 graduate from Aucilla Christian Academy, recently earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete Honors from Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) where she is currently playing college softball. Rogers attended Santa Fe College before transferring to GSW, where she played under Coach Lindsay Fico, also out of Madison. She is the daughter of Lee and Ansley Rogers.

Her Scholar Athlete title comes from her stellar grade-point average, holding at a 3.70 while majoring in exercise science and minoring in education. 10 of her other teammates were also awarded honors, which is a record for their program. Rogers is a rising junior academically and a rising sophomore athletically.
