The Aucilla Christian Academy volleyball teams honored the senior members of the varsity team on Tuesday, Oct. 11. On Monday, Oct. 10, the Lady Warriors of Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) took on the Lady Trojans of Hamilton County High School in volleyball action. The ACA junior varsity team won their best of three match in two sets, with scores of 25-14 and 25-21. The varsity team, however lost their best of five match in three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-16, and 25-18.
The next night, Tuesday, Oct. 11, the Lady Warriors bounced back as they played the Lady Bulldogs of Taylor County High School for senior night. ACA varsity volleyball team seniors Dena Bishop, Brittany Hughes, Ramsey Sullivan, and Natalie Vasquez were honored. The seniors were treated in winning style as the Lady Warriors won their best of five match in three straight sets with scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-22.
Then on Thursday, Oct. 13, the Lady Warriors junior varsity team took on Madison Creative Arts Academy. ACA won that match in two straight sets scoring 25-9 and 25-12. Lindsey Davis served 12 total points and Elizabeth Scheese served 16 points for the Lady Warriors during the match. Then the ACA Lady Warriors varsity team took the court against the Cowgirls of Madison County High School (MCHS). ACA won that match in three sets with scores of 25-18, 25-12, and 25-21. Kayla Burns and Camryn Grant led the Lady Warriors in kills, while Dena Bishop led in serves during the match.
Next up for the Lady Warriors is the District Tournament, in which the Lady Warriors are the number one seed. The tournament began on Tuesday, Oct. 18 and will continue on Thursday, Oct. 20 at Robert F. Munroe High School, in Quincy.
