John Creel was born in 1973 and grew up in Lake City, Fla. In 1991, he graduated from Columbia High School. Creel then began to expand and went to Valdosta State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. After that, he moved on to Saint Leo University, where he earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Using this degree, Creel began a journey around North Florida, helping others through evangelism. He taught, and continues to teach, at local Bible-believing churches and schools.
Creel was saved in 1980 at the age of seven, when he was listening to a sermon at the First Assembly Church in Lake City. His pastor at the time, Loyal Vanvleck, was surprised that, to this day, Creel still remembers the sermon preached in 1980. The message was the simple gospel that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose on the third day. Creel is happily married to his wife, Del, and they have a four-year-old son named Matthew. Matthew was actually born at 23 weeks and weighed only one pound, 5.9 ounces Several times after his birth, the Creel family was on the edge of their seat, because Matthew was maxed out on breathing machines. “Thank the Lord, the mercy of Jesus and the Lord answered many prayers and still is, as many churches were praying for Matthew and hopefully still are, as he has been off oxygen for around a year.” His favorite book of the Bible is John, and his favorite Bible verse is John 3:16. After spending his life growing in the Word, Creel felt inspired to write a book for any willing to read. He read 2 Corinthians 5:19, which says, “That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation” (ESV). Furthermore, he was inspired by scripture in multiple areas, calling for people to be reconciled to God.
During the process of writing his book, “Jesus: He Who is, Who was, and Who is to come,” Creel faced many challenges. The biggest hurdle he found himself needing to overcome was the organization and layout of the chapters. However, the drive that Creel needed to continue pushed him forward. “It was like a fire shut up in my bones, because, for many years, I prayed for our nation and other nations to turn back to the Lord and turn away from all the sin and confusion of our times. It seemed like reading about biblical Nineveh when reading Christian news, like CBN news reports on the killing of innocent children in and out of the womb for profit and politicians promoting Sodom over our nation’s foundations of Christian Judaeo values,” Creel said. “Why would people promote such evil, a vote? How can Christians contend for the faith in an era where some big businesses are funding sodomy and Planned Parenthood’s selling baby body parts to certain universities, which is supposed to be illegal? The dilemma in our generation, where Christians pay millions of dollars to big tech and other businesses, and they turn to persecute Christians by their political contribution funds.” This drove Creel to continue writing and spread the message. “Jesus wants people to repent and be reconciled to God because He so loved the world and died for the sins of the whole world.”
Creel’s book focuses on the evidence of Christ and the future in Christ. The book “involves examining past and present evidence of the validity and reliability of scripture, historically, archaeologically and through modern research.” It also, “provides scriptural proof and examples of the power and providence of God’s plan for the future.” In addition, the book takes a detailed look at, “escaping the corruption that is in the world through lust; Christians making their calling and election sure so they will never fall; and God’s promise for his children to be presented blameless before his presence with exceeding joy.”
“Be reconciled to God before it is to late,” Creel said. “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, and He will judge the world in righteousness according to His Word, the holy scriptures, the Bible. The overwhelming evidence of the accuracy and validity of the holy scriptures, historically, archeologically and through modern research, reveal God’s hand and power and providence throughout the ages.”
