The 5th annual B.F. Killingsworth Gator Golf Classic was held Monday, May 18 at the Madison Golf and Country Club. The proceeds from this event go to the Madison County Gator Club Scholarship Fund. There was a total of 17 teams signed up to play and each team had four members. There were two tee times for the tournament at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. All players were served a delicious lunch. Clay Sapp was a recipient of the scholarships from the Madison County Gator Club Scholarship Fund in 2012 and he graduated this May. In a letter he wrote to the Madison County Gator Club he said, “I am forever thankful for the gift of education that you have helped provide for me and I hope to continue the spirit of giving to future Madison County Gators that you so graciously shared with me.” The B.F. Killingsworth Golf Classic raised $5,900 for the Madison County Gator Club Scholarship Fund. The money will go towards four students that have been accepted to University of Florida.
