Bernard Phillip Bailey, Sr., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13 in Tallahassee. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16 at Walker Cemetery in Lamont, Fl.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15 at Beggs Funeral Home, located at 3322 Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee, Fl. Beggs Funeral Home can be reached at (850) 942-2929.

Bernard was born to William Ansel and Emma McCloud Bailey, February 14, 1936 in Lamont, Fl. where he lived most of his life. He was a truck driver with Smith Trucking. He had a passion for taking care of his family, animals and taking in stray dogs. He was an avid gardener, loved to fish and have fish fries; he also loved to mechanic.
He is survived by his son, Phillip Bailey (Jenifer); stepson, Donald Jordon; brothers, Bill (Dora) and Donald Bailey (Margaret); sister, Martha Bailey; sister-in-law, Rochelle Bailey; grandchildren, Kerri and Kasey Bailey; step-grandchildren: Vicki Jordon Finn, Lee Jordon and Trevor Ross; and great-grandchild, Madison Bailey Nichols; plus more grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Loucile Wilcox Bailey; stepchildren: Jimmy, Stanley and Joyce; brother, James Bailey; and sister, Doris Jean Bailey.
