Mark your calendars for Thursday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m., at Madison Church of God to join the Madison County Chamber of Commerce in recognizing the Best of Madison. Throughout the evening, local restaurants will be serving their best dishes, while guests bid on Made in Madison Silent Auction items, followed by the Best of Madison Awards presentation.
Tickets for the Best of Madison event can be purchased at the chamber office for $35 or $30 for six or more.
The Madison County Chamber of Commerce recognizes outstanding chamber members, individuals and businesses in the community and the many successes to celebrate within the community.
Awards are given for Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Best Business in Customer Service Award, Best Individual in Customer Service, Citizen of the Year and Non-Profit of the Year.
Recipients of these awards are nominated and voted on by members of the community and represent the best of the community. Awards are intended for chamber members reflecting the highest level of professionalism, knowledge, integrity, stewardship to the community, investment in the future of business and growth in Madison.

Nominations close Thursday, Aug. 31, at 5 p.m. Voting begins on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Small Business of the Year
Chamber member for at least one year
Business in Madison city or county limits with 25 or less employees
Outstanding customer service
Demonstrates growth and stability

Large Business of the Year
Chamber member for at least one year
Business in Madison city or county limits with 26 or more employees
Outstanding customer service
Demonstrates growth and stability
Excellence in community relations and reliability

Demonstrates economic support of the region Makes positive impact on the community and volunteerism of employee base
Young Professional of the Year
Must own or be employed by a chamber member of at least one year
Professional under 35 who has made a positive impact to his or her industry, maintains a devotion to community service, civic engagement, and economic development
Best Business in Customer Service Award
Chamber member for at least one year
Business that is dedicated to customer and client services. Displaying consistent quality service and courtesy in the community.
Best Individual in Customer Service Award
Must own or be employed by a chamber member for at least one year
Individual that is dedicated to customer and client services. Displaying consistent quality service and courtesy in the community.
New Business of the Year
Is a chamber member that demonstrates dedication to customer and client services.
Exhibits outstanding customer service
Demonstrates growth and stability
Makes a positive impact on the community
Citizen of the Year
Resident of Madison County who has made a positive impact and contributed to the community through leadership, community involvement, volunteerism, and overall public service.
Chamber membership not required.
Non-Profit of the Year
Chamber member for at least one year
Certified 501(c)3 organization that has proven to be vital in enriching the quality of life of others in the community. Faith based organization or community service and well-being entity.
