Aucilla Christian Academy is pleased to announce that Austin Bishop, a 2015 graduate, has received a baseball scholarship to Truett-McConnell, a private Christian college located in North Georgia. “They intend on me possibly being a two-way player, so I will be pitching as well as playing the field and hitting,” said Bishop. Austin is from Perry, Fl. and is the son of Don and Allison Bishop. At Aucilla, he played shortstop and pitched. He is among two others who were signed to the Truett-McConnell Bears: Caleb Jameson Chestatee High School, and Tyler Price East Gaston High School. On the recent signings, Head Coach Mike Croley stated, “All three are great additions to an outstanding group of freshmen.”
