Mrs. Blanche Jackson Sevor passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 in Madison, Fl. Blanche was born Oct. 24, 1934 in Madison, Fl., to the late William “Buddy” Jackson and Alma Newsome Jackson.
Blanche was a lifetime member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She spent over 30 years working for the United States Department of Agriculture before her retirement in 1989. Blanche was an avid gardener and was often known for having one of the prettiest yards in Madison after her retirement. Blanche enjoyed Florida State football and caring for her beloved pets “Dodger” and “Trixie.” She also served as secretary for Sevor’s Heating and Air and was often the first line in getting your A/C fixed.
Blanche is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Alma Jackson and her husband of 45 years, Glen Sevor.
Blanche is survived by her son, Curtis Ryan Sevor; granddaughter, Alesha McCulley; two sisters, Beverly Smith (Junior) and Linda Ragans (Sputter); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. in the Madison Chapel of Beggs Funeral Home. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Interment took place at Macedonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery fund, c/o Chris Thompson, 1418 Longleaf Drive, Live Oak, Fl. 32064.
