Bobby Brown, age 86, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, in Tallahassee.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 9, at Greenville Baptist Church with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, in Greenville.
The family received friends on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m., at Beggs Funeral Home Madison.
Brown was born in Americus, Ga., and lived in Thomasville and Madison before moving to Greenville.
He was a mechanic and owner of Brown’s Garage in Greenville until 1974; he then worked for Sherrod Lumber Co. until he retired. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War in the 187th Field Battalion. They have a reunion twice a year in Dahlonega Ga.
He was a member of American Legion Post #131, and Greenville Masonic Lodge.
Brown was a member of Greenville Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and King of the Kitchen Queens.
He is survived by his wife, Janice H. Brown, of Greenville; one daughter, Karen Brown, of Tallahassee; cousin, Ken Bishop, of The Villages, Fl.; two nieces: Linda Wiles, of Perry; and Barbara Patrick, of Steinhatchee, Fl.; and one nephew, Rick Patrick, of Valdosta.

Brown was predeceased by his parents and two sisters: Helen Drawdy and Sarah Patrick.
