Bobby Deroyce Hackler was born on May 4, 1938 in Ft. Worth, Tx., to the late Cecil Reginald Hackler and Henrietta Huxford. He passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 in Lake City, Fl. Bobby served in the Navy and Army as a young man. He retired from trucking in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Vera Alice (Harry) Hackler, of Lee, Fl.; children: Bobby Huffman (Mandy), of Whitesboro, Tx., Karen Loader (Bill), of Whitesboro, Tx., Tammie Glasscock (Mike), of Valdosta, Ga., Michael Oliver, and Shawn Gustafson, of Jacksonville, Fl.; 10 grandchildren; brothers, William “Henry” Luce and Thomas Luce; sisters: Susan Stone, of Alamogordo, NM., Janice Bennett, of Hoquiam, Wa., Joyce Marini, of Spring, Tx., and Sharon Padilla, of Rio Ranch, NM.; and multiple nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his brother, Abe Luce. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. at The Gathering UMC, located at 4381 Forrest St. Ext. in Valdosta, Ga.
