Bonnie Rae Studstill Wynn, 88, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2017, at Margaret Z. Dozier House at Big Bend Hospice, while surrounded by her loved ones.
Bonnie Rae was born Aug. 15, 1928 in Madison County, Fl. to Donovan and Laura Shaffer Studstill. She attended the Madison Public Schools and graduated from Greenville High School, Jacksonville Jr. College with an Associate’s Degree and Lively Vo-Technical Center with a certificate in Merchandising. Bonnie Rae was a pastor’s wife, homemaker, supervisor at J.C. Penney’s and Publix employee for several years. She also was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Walter Richard Wynn, Sr.; children: Linda Dianne Shockley of Hillsville, Va., Bonnie Louise (Michael) Weeks of Tallahassee, Fl. and Richard (Darlene) Wynn, Jr. of Lake City, Fl.; brothers, George (Delora) Studstill and Tom (Sandy) Studstill of Titusville, Fl.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Macy “Wiliford” and brother, L.D. Studstill, Jr.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 28, at Immanuel Baptist Church, located at 2351 Mahan Drive in Tallahassee, Fl. A funeral service was held immediately following at 11 a.m. The interment followed at Indian Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Bonnie Rae may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Fl. 32308.
