On Friday, Oct. 28, the Greenville Boys and Girls Club of Tabula Rasa sponsored a pink-out at Greenville Elementary School in order to raise cancer awareness. Students wore pink shirts and ribbons and were awarded blow pops which represented the Boys and Girls Club’s mission to “blow away cancer.” Mrs. Key’s third grade class, the class with the highest amount of pink, won a pizza party sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club.
Boys and Girls Club kids worked hard to paint a banner that would help spread their message. The Greenville Boys and Girls Club believes that if everyone pitches in and lends a helping hand, cancer will be blown away. Every child placed their hand print on the banner to represent this sentiment.
