The Madison County Central School Broncos baseball team played their last game of the season at the Big Bend Conference Championship on Thursday, March 10. The Broncos built an early edge but Marianna roared back to steal a 3-1 victory at Marianna Middle School.
A groundout by Brady Donaldson gave Marianna the lead in the sixth inning.
The Broncos scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Caleb Ginn in the third inning.
Marianna tied the game in the fifth inning on a passed ball that scored Hogan Spencer.
Marianna never trailed after scoring two runs in the sixth on a groundout by Donaldson and an RBI single by Spencer.
The Broncos wrapped up the season with an overall record of 10-6.
“Mitch Rutherford pitched a great game,” said Coach Dustin Rucker. “This team works great together, Ragans and myself had a wonderful time with them this year. They put up a fight and showed they have a lot of heart.”
