Mr. Alton Lester Lee, 64, a lifelong resident of Madison, Fla., was born June 24, 1958. He was known for his kind and generous spirit and love for his family.
Celebration of life services, with COVID-19 restrictions, will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, in the sanctuary of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 221 SW Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Madison. Public viewing and visitation will be held 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, in the chapel of J.P. Moore Mortuary, 379 W. Base Street, Madison, (850) 973-6677. Earthly bed of slumber: Oakridge No.1 Cemetery, Madison.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ola Lee, Sr. and Corine McDaniel Herring; brothers: Cleo Pullens, Ola Lee, Jr. and James Lee, Sr.; sisters: Runette Holmes, Bobbie Mitchell, Mabelene Lee Phillips and Patricia Lee.
Alton was well-respected and well-known throughout the community. His people skills allowed him to always encounter new people whom he considered as friends he had not yet met.
He was educated in the Madison County School District and was a graduate of Madison High School. With his spirit of determination, he was able to accomplish many things in his life experiences.
Having accepted Christ as his Redeemer during his early years, Alton became a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Madison, Fla. He demonstrated his love for the Lord daily.
While his daily routine kept him busy, he also had time for his own enjoyment. Alton was very fond of traveling and fishing, and even shopping for clothing, because he loved to dress to impress, especially when he wore his signature boots.
Alton was called from earthly time to time eternal on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022. He will be missed, but there is hope in knowing that he will meet his loved ones again one day.
It’s hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember. Cherishing Alton Lester Lee’s life, love, and goodwill while mourning his passing are his sons, Travis J. Lee, of Atlanta, Ga. and Alton “Bud” Lee, Sr., of Delray Beach, Fla.; sisters, Eloise Siplin and Nancy Gallon both of, Madison, Fla.; brothers, Monroe Lee, of Perry, Fla. and Ricky Lee, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; sister-in-law, Gertrude Pullens, of Delray Beach, Fla.; brother-in-law, Willie Mitchell, Jr., of Madison, Fla.; two grandchildren, London Madison Lee and Alton Keith Lee II; along with many other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
