On Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Madison County Chamber of Commerce members met with leaders of Madison Church of God for the monthly installment of Business After Hours.
Guests were treated to a variety of meats and sides, along with delicious desserts. Inside the family life center, displays detailing the work of the many Madison Church of God ministries were available for visitors to glance upon. Additionally, fun activities and games took place during the event.
Madison Church of God is led by Pastor Jason Justus and wife, Amber, who heads the Passion Play and ladies ministry. Pastor Jason has been in full-time ministry for over 20 years and has led the local church since February of 2014. Along side of the Justus family, Terry Clark leads the youth ministry; Savanna Pitts, the children's ministry; Janet Diamond, the outreach/missions ministry; Wayne Diamond, music ministry; and Mike Kirkland, multimedia director.
Aside from regular services, the church offers a men's ministry where they discover how to follow Christ fully, connect with believers strategically and be the men of God they were created to be. A women's ministry is also offered to connect each other as sisters in Christ. This ministry offers a "table talk" the first Monday night of each month.
For the youth, Madison Church of God offers Madison Kids, open to students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. All students in sixth through eight grade are invited to join Echo Student Ministries.
The next Business After Hours event is scheduled to be hosted by Kelli deSante and Royal Restorations, who recently relocated to the former home of The Mail Room, located at 173 NE Range Ave., in Madison. Visit their antique store on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for fellowship.
