Busy Bee held their annual golf tournament this past September in Lake City. The Junior Auxiliary of Madison County lends their hand for the tournament each year. In turn, Busy Bee graciously donates the proceeds from the tournament to the Junior Auxiliary of Madison County. This year, Busy Bee donated $24,000 to the Junior Auxiliary of Madison.
With the proceeds from this tournament, the Junior Auxiliary is able to fund community service projects. A few of their service projects are blessing bags for elementary students with food insecurities, Finders Keepers Literacy book drops, holiday meal baskets for families in need and the Father Daughter dance. The Junior Auxiliary extends their many thanks to Busy Bee for their continued support of Madison County and their service organization.
The Junior Auxiliary of Madison County was chartered in 1986 and is part of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA), a nonprofit organization founded in 1941. NAJA has a total of 15,320 active, associate and life members in 93 chapters in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.
