In 1933, Eudora Brown Almond, wife of physician Dr. Charles B. Almond, held the first ever National Doctors’ Day in Winder, Ga., by the Barrow County Alliance. In 1990, President George H.W. Bush stated National Doctors Day as an official U.S. government day of recognition.
This year’s theme is “Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers?”. This theme recognizes that doctors put in hard work for their patients, and deserve recognition
