United Way of Big Bend invites everyone to the Madison County Celebrity Waiters Night on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Norris Cafe from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The special guest of the evening will be Chef Art Smith. Chef Smith is from Jasper, Florida and has cooked for many celebrities and heads of state. He has cooked for Former Florida Governors Bob Graham and Jeb Bush, President Barack Obama and was the personal, day-to-day chef to Oprah Winfrey for 10 years. He is also the author of four cookbooks: Kitchen Life, Back to the Table, Back to the Family and Art Smith’s Healthy Comfort. He recently purchased the Smith Mansion in Madison and plans to open a cooking school. Chef Smith will speak to the guest at Celebrity Waiters Night at 7 p.m. and will donate signed cookbooks to be auctioned off for United Way. The Cake Auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. and all proceeds will go towards United Way of Big Bend. Come out and enjoy a good meal, great fellowship and support the United Way of Big Bend. The proceeds from the Celebrity Waiters Night will go to support the United Way of the Big Bend. Some of the organizations that will benefit from the donations are: Senior Citizens Council of Madison, Sickle Cell Foundation, Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Elder Care Services.
