
Celestial events in April: Will you catch the meteor shower?

Later this month, star-gazers can observe a conjunction between Mars and the moon on Saturday, April 5, which will be visible toward the west, near the Gemini constellation. Mars will be fairly bright, and will appear to have a red tint. Following this will be a conjunction on Thursday, April 10, between Mercury and Saturn, visible to the naked eye but difficult to locate, due to proximity to the horizon.
