Charles Victor Capan, beloved husband and father, age 91, died on Monday, June 13, at Lake City Medical Center, in Lake City, Fl.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, June 15, at Greenville Baptist Church, in Greenville, with burial taking place at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the church.
Capan was born in Cottonwood, Al., on June 4, 1925 and moved to Greenville in 1946. He was second-generation owner and operator of Capan Logging for many years before retiring. He was also a member of Greenville Baptist Church.
Capan is survived by his wife, Beatrice, of 66 and a half years; two daughters: Charlsie Gaston (Allen), of Greenville and Charlene Roebuck (Eddie), of Jennings; five grandchildren: Stephanie Driggers, Julie Glover, April Tharp, Ronnie Charles Bass and Lee Roebuck as well as seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents: Jake and Repsie Capan; brother: Dorman Capan; and sister: Mary Harnage.
