The North Florida Community College NFCC Foundation received a $500 donation from The Madison County Chapter of The Charmettes to assist with student scholarships at NFCC. Representatives of the local Charmettes Chapter, Cheryl Clemons, Shirley Barfield and Sharon Postell, presented the gift to NFCC Executive Director of Development and External Affairs Dr. Cheryl James on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the NFCC Foundation office.
“Knowledge is power to a deserving student,” said Clemons. “The more you know the further you can go.”
The Charmettes Madison County Chapter Scholarship is offered annually to a Madison County high school senior who has been accepted for admission and is planning to attend NFCC. Scholarship awards can be used toward tuition, books and fees, and those interested in applying should contact their high school guidance counselor for details.
