Greenville residents, Greenville Elementary School (GES) staff and notable members of the community gathered at GES on Wednesday, Aug. 3 to welcome the new principal of GES, Geraldine Wildgoose. This “Meet and Greet” event was hosted by the Madison County Chapter of Charmettes.
At the event, those who attended enjoyed cake and punch while mingling. Wildgoose enthusiastically greeted and talked to parents of GES students, GES teachers and Madison County School District staff, as well as members of the Greenville Town Council.
Wildgoose also praised the GES staff for all of their hard work preparing for the upcoming school year, commenting that they are “a stellar team.”
“This school is the core of Greenville,” said Wildgoose. “I celebrated with [the staff] first, since they did the work before me.”
Wildgoose has big plans for the school and is excited to be working alongside the community to make those plans a reality.
“[The Meet and Greet] is a nice gesture,” said Wildgoose.
Judging by everyone who came in and out to meet Wildgoose and the bright smiles on everyone's faces, the Meet and Greet was a great success.
The Greenville community is very excited to see what Wildgoose has in store for their beloved school.
