Cherry Lake blue-green algae caution lifted

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) in Madison has lifted the caution for blue-green algae in Cherry Lake.
On Friday, Aug. 2, the Department of Environmental Protection tested Cherry Lake and the results indicated that there were no toxins present. Because of the presence of algae, a caution remained due to the possibility of blooms forming toxins. This caution remains for 30 days.
