Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month is observed in August. Without early detection and treatment, uncorrected vision disorders in children can impair healthy development, interfere with learning and may lead to permanent vision loss.
Some common pediatric eye conditions may include: Astigmatism, Myopia (nearsightedness), Hyperopia (farsightedness), Ptosis (droopy eyelids), Conjunctivitis (pinkeye), Styes, Chalazions, Pediatric Glaucoma,
