On Saturday, Feb. 18, Lanier Field, in Madison will be alive with food and fun as Forgotten Coast K9 hosts the First Annual Madison County Chili Cook-off and Brewfest. The event starts at 1 p.m. and will continue until 6 p.m. Alcohol will only be served between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
In addition to a wide array of chili and beer samplings available, there will also be musical entertainment provided by the Hard Times Band and the Southern Brothers. Various vendors will also be on hand to sell their wares.
For $5 you can sample all the chili you want, plus vote for your favorite. For $25 you can sample all the chili, plus sample all the craft beer you want and vote on your favorite. Cash prizes and awards will be presented to the winners. A valid I.D. will be required to sample beer.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Madison County County Chamber of Commerce and Forgotten Coast K9. Forgotten Coast K9 is a non-profit organization that provides service dogs and training opportunities to veterans and first responders.
