Christine Blanton, 88, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in Tallahassee, Fla. She was born to Grover Cleveland and Rose Thigpen Bishop on Nov. 26, 1931. She was a lifelong resident of Madison. Christine was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Madison, Fla. She loved traveling, gardening, working in her church, and ministering to friends through her cooking.
She was a Dental receptionist for Dr. Tom Callahan and later for Dr. Roger Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey, three brothers, Barry Bishop, Charles Bishop, and Cecil Bishop.
She is survived by two sons, Allen Blanton (Ann) of Panama City, Fla., Kenneth Blanton (Sandy) of Jasper, Fla.; one daughter, Linda Larsen (David) of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Virginia Dees of Live Oak, Fla. and Faye Black (Kenneth) Live Oak, Fla.; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel in Madison at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020. Visitation was from 2 - 4 p.m. prior to the service at the Chapel.
T.J. Beggs Jr. & Sons Funeral Home in Madison was in charge of arrangements.
