There will be a gospel sing at the Senior Citizen's Council of Madison County, from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person and children under 12 are free. Donations are appreciated and will go towards purchasing a sound system for the Senior Center. The gospel sing will feature Southern Gospel artists Life Song, Joyce Croft and Willis Phillips. Please come and enjoy some great gospel music by local area artists! Refreshments, artist CDs and pictures will be available for purchase. We the Women led by God, along with New Hope Primitive Baptist Church and Rev. Henry Durant, will be sponsoring a musical benefit program for Bro. The National Day of Prayer calls on all people of different faiths in the United States to pray for the nation and its leaders. It is held on the first Thursday of May each year. Beginning on Sunday, May 3, at 6 p.m., leading up to National Day of Prayer, the Bible will be read at the gazebo in the Four Freedoms Park in Madison.
