Hickory Grove United Methodist Church VBS has begun; the theme is Workshop of Workers. Wednesday night will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m. Thursday night will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end after the FIREWORKS SHOW which begins at 9 p.m. Day two is about Feeding the 5,000, derived from Matthew 14:13-21 and Day three is about Walking to Emmaus, from the scripture Luke 24:13-32. There will be music, crafts, games and story time. The program is for ages PreK and up. There is a program for parents on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Offering will go to the Madison Youth Ranch.

The Middle Florida Baptist Association Brotherhood is hosting a Men and Women Golf Scramble on Saturday, October 3, at the Madison County Country Club located at 445 SW Country Club Rd., Madison. The cost is $25 per person and covers 18 holes, cart and meal at the Club. Call 850-973-8607 for more information.

The annual meeting of the Middle Florida Baptist Association will be held on October 13, beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting until 8 p.m at Mayo Baptist Church. The doctrinal message will be brought by Pastor Robert Bradow. The missionary message will be brought by Pastor David During. Dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m., between the afternoon and evening sessions. MBC is located at 916 N Fletcher Ave, Mayo, Fl.

Mark your calendar for one of North Florida's most exciting gospel music events! Jellystone Park Jam is set for Friday, October 23, until October 25 at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Madison. A dozen of gospel music's finest talent is scheduled to appear throughout the three-day event and, the best part is, it's FREE! On Friday night and Saturday night concerts begin at 6 p.m. and Sunday morning chapel service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium.

The Senior Citizens Council of Madison County is hosting a group tour of the Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Fl. on Thursday, October 29. Transportation will be provided round trip from the Senior Center in Madison, by Ford's Travel Service in Live Oak, Fl. The center will be receiving a group rate of $35 per person plus the cost of transportation. The center estimates the total will not exceed $100 (final price determined by number of attendees), excluding meals.
