On Friday, Jan. 17, employees of the City of Madison and their families came together at the Senior Citizen Council of Madison County for an appreciation luncheon and ceremony. Lunch was catered by C&E Marketplace, of Madison.
After employees and their families were fed, City Manager Jerome Wyche addressed the audience, thanking each and every staff member for their unwavering dedication to the City of Madison. Several of the city's longest-serving employees were honored for their years of hard work. In addition, Police Chief Reggie Alexander honored the incredible, brave officers who work diligently for the citizens of Madison 24 hours a day. He also awarded two officers for outstanding service.
After the recognition ceremony, countless door prizes were given away and many lucky employees and city volunteers went home with great gifts, including certificates to TL Nails, Grumpy's Diner, Norris Cafe and O'Neals Country Buffet.
