The City of Madison has ended its precautionary boil-water notice that’s been in effect since Tuesday, May 26 when repairs were underway on a portion of the city’s water infrastructure.
The boil-water notice had impacted residents and businesses bounded by U.S. 90/Base Street in the south, to Duval Avenue in the east, to Livingston Street in the north, and to Meeting Avenue in the west.
The boil-water notice resulted from the replacement of a damaged 4-inch water valve at the intersection of U.S. 90 (Base Street) and State Road 53 North (Washington Avenue).
