Country Music’s hottest newcomer, Morgan Wallen is bringing his kinetic energy to the Bluewater Bar and Grill in Valdosta, on Saturday, Feb. 10, for his headlining Up Down Tour, presented by Shiner Light Blonde. The tour's opener is Ray Fulcher.

Morgan Wallen's “Up Down” features country music duo, Florida Georgia Line and has hit major charts since the beginning of 2018.
Wallen's new single “Up Down” is a laidback tribute to downhome living – and partying – featuring superstar duo Florida Georgia Line (FGL). Quickly after its release, the fun-loving track rocketed into Spotify’s US and Global Viral 50 charts, hit the iTunes Country A-List, launched into the Top 10 on Sirius XM’s The Highway, and entered the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It was also the most-added single on Country radio when it officially hit airwaves Nov. 27, with 80 first-week stations on board.
Meanwhile, the song’s music video has racked up more than 7.9 million views. “Up Down” gives fans a taste of Wallen’s debut album and follows his steel-driven anthem, “The Way I Talk,” which launched into the Top 30 on the charts and achieved max spins on Sirius XM’s The Highway.
Kicking 2018 into high gear, CMT has selected Wallen for their “Listen Up 18 for 2018” class, naming him amongst country music’s most promising newcomers and breakout artists.
Born in Sneedville, Tn. (also home to bluegrass legend Jimmy Martin), Wallen was a star on the baseball diamond, attended the same high school as Country superstar Kenny Chesney, and has deep roots in the church. With a hard rock-loving preacher for a father, and a mother who couldn’t get enough country and contemporary Christian music, Wallen began performing for his local congregation at the tender age of three and went on to develop a strong love of country, rock and hip-hop. After moving to Nashville in 2015, he’s co-written with hitmakers like Craig Wiseman, Rodney Clawson, Chris Tompkins, the Warren Brothers, Tommy Cecil and Matt Dragstrem, and he has been honing his studio poise with award-winning producer Joey Moi.
The Tennessee native has captivated audiences around the country as support for FGL’s The Smooth Tour in 2017, Chris Lane’s Take Back Home Tour, and Granger Smith’s Don't Tread on Me Tour. He has spent the last year honing his songwriting skills with Music City heavyweights, including Craig Wiseman (“Live Like You Were Dying”), Rodney Clawson (“Dirt”) and Chris Tompkins (“Drunk on a Plane”), penning tracks for Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Dustin Lynch, and A Thousand Horses’ “Preachin’ to the Choir” – the first outside cut the band has ever recorded.
