Coantha “Kitty” Agner, age 94 of Lee, Fl., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 at her home. Born in Hahira, Ga., she moved to Madison County in 1945 where she was a homemaker and enjoyed her involvement with the local 4-H. She was a member of the Barbara Memorial Nazarene Church of Madison.
Funeral services for Mrs. Agner were held on Sunday, Oct. 30 at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel in Madison at 3 p.m. The family received friends in the chapel one hour prior to the service. Agner is survived by her three sons: James C. Agner, Jr., Willie Agner and Melvin Agner all of Lee; one daughter: Carolyn Agner also of Lee and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Carroll; parents, Luther Presley Cole and Coantha Powell Cole; brother, Carmen Cole and two sisters, Hazel Parker and Janice Burtoff.
