On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov. 24, Hopewell Baptist Church will be giving away free meals to members of the community who are in need of a Thanksgiving meal. The meal will be served at the Senior Citizens Center, located at 1161 Harvey Greene Dr., in Madison, from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m., or until the food is gone. This will mark the sixth year Hopewell has been offering this service to the Madison County community.
Hopewell Baptist Church's goal is to make 800 plates for individuals in the community that are in need of a Thanksgiving Day meal. Many of these meals will be delivered to individuals with disabilities or to those without transportation. Anyone that has the desire to help by making a donation or to volunteer their time on the day of the event are encouraged to call Timmy Dyke at (850) 464-8107. Make checks payable to Hopewell Baptist Church.
