Community Thanksgiving proves successful

Mickey Starling  reporter3@greenepublishing.com On Tuesday, Nov. 21, we had a large crowd helping to de-bone turkeys and bake cornbread at Madison Church of God. Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, we had approximately 80 volunteers on hand to make everything run smoothly. Also, thanks to the community, we had plenty of supplies. By 12 p.m., we completed 1,000 plates, and by 12:30 p.m., we had them on their way for delivery throughout the community. An hour and a half later, cleanup w
