In memory of Bessie Burkett, Concord Baptist Church is hosting their sixth annual fishing tournament on Saturday, April 23. The weigh-in will begin at 4 p.m. and the fish fry will begin at 5 p.m. The fish fry is included with the tournament but for those not fishing, the fish fry will cost $10 per person.
Those wanting to attend are required to pre-register on Friday, April 22. Pre-registration will be held from 3-5 p.m. at the church on April 22.
The tournament will cost $5 for kids, $20 for adults and $10 for the big bass contest. The big fish post starts at $250 with a 100 percent pay back.
